Baldev Raj Chopra

Baldev Raj Chopra Baldev Raj Chopra (BR Chopra) (April 22, 1914 – November 5, 2008) was a screenwriter, director and producer of Bollywood movies and television series in India. It was noted for his films on social issues such as Naya Daur hindi (1957), Kanoon (1961), Gumrah (1963) and Humr z (1967), as well as major TV series, Mahabharat in the late 1980s 2 In 1998 he was awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award is the highest accolade in cinema in India. His brother Yash Chopra, Ravi Chopra and son Aditya Chopra‘s nephew also are film directors in the Bollywood industry.
