The Same

In his theatre Pirandello warned with clarity the impossibility of presenting to the continuously changing modern problematic man (no man had written in the essay on humorism quoting Pascal – distinguished over other than itself over time), with the usual technique of the character of the character with traits defined, always equal to Yes same. That is why he created characters leaving even the limits of reality to carry the scene ghost which encroached to her fantasy of artist, yet to be defined; i.e. without having intervened in a work already complete, and which are however eager to live. Thus arises the question that the author himself becomes: what author can ever tell how and why a personaje was born in your fantasy? The mystery of the artistic creation is the same mystery of birth. It may be that a woman, loving, want to become a mother, but the desire itself, for more intenso that is, not just. And thus, fantasy, acting as goddess of fertility, leads to the birth of six characters which in the mind of the author.

Author who refuses to represent them in some of their works after you create them. But these characters, not resigning to remain in oblivion, become independent of the author who created them and are dedicated to wander through the theaters in search of someone else that definitely makes them immortal. So begins this story with the six characters breaking into a theatre during the test of a work (Interestingly a Pirandello play: the game of roles). The disbelief of the director and the actors of this theatre is tremendous, especially when these characters are presented as such characters that come from the fantasy of the author who created them alive and without concluding the story, left them without returning to take notice of them. Each character tells his story, but likewise reliving it in their own way, only pity. The tragedy of each one is that you cannot have another life, because it will always be the same: the father with their shame have coincided with his stepdaughter in the House of appointments of certain peace Madama; the mother, the more tragic character of the work, with that image so grotesque to bring their two children from the hand (is, in summary, nature, says the author); children of your mother’s hand who remain in perpetual silence; silence necessary since they are dead and that is her role; the stepdaughter, who feels the only victim of ever blaming all of their situation; another son who, refusing to represent a tragedy, only accepts the role of comedian, but his place on the stage is located where they occur the most tragic events of the story and it could be no other. Each of them carries tattooed the tragic fate that is impossible to erase. The work forms part, together with each in their own way and this evening represents improvising, theatre in the theatre trilogy, dealing with the conflict between characters and actors in all of them in a particular manner. Pirandello situated in the same plane reality and fantasy. Actors and characters converge at one stage and the mere fact that much of the action goes on the stairs that split scenario and courtyard of spectators is a clear demonstration of the pretensions of the Italian author: move the viewer into this world of fantasy and do part of the work.
